LEADERSHIP

GREG BALEN, founder and president, is a California based real estate professional with over 20 years of real estate problem solving background.  He is uniquely qualified to assist investors, lending institutions, and other property owners in the business of, acquiring, improving, and selling distressed properties.  His direct experience and talents include project conceptualization and design, land planning and entitlement processing, site development and building construction, evaluation of real estate assets, risk management and warranty service management, and repositioning of troubled projects and properties.  He has served at the executive level for a variety of privately and publically held companies including New Urban West, Inc., Taylor Woodrow Homes, Ryland Homes and KB Home.  He is a licensed architect with NCARB certification and a licensed general engineering "A" and general building "B" contractor.  He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

RANDALL UNDERWOOD, general superintendent, is a Southern California based construction manager with over 25 years of field experience building a variety of residential, commercial, and resort projects.  He has extensive experience spearheading multiple projects under challenging conditions at a variety of price points. He has unparalled qualifications for solving problems and overcoming the challenges presented in the rehabilitation of existing structures, and in "picking up where others left off" on unfinished projects.  Mr. Underwood has served in a variety of field management positions leading all aspects of construction from site development through bond exoneration.  He has provided his leadership for several companies known for their high construction standards including California Pacific Homes, Taylor Woodrow Homes, Western Pacific Homes and Standard Pacific Homes.  He is highly regarded in the industry for his strategic approach to project planning, scheduling, and teambuilding, as well as his highly ethical approach to project leadership, quality control, and environmental challenges.
